Year 2 - Week 3 Learning

 Literacy

This week we have continued to learn about how to save our planet.

We wrote fantastic letters to the Year 3 children persuading them to become eco-warriors!

'If you walk to school, this will help to stop climate change' - Elkah

'If you pick up rubbish from the outdoor area, you are helping to keep animals alive'-
Joshua

'To become a eco- warrior you need to recycle paper, plastic and glass' - Eason

Maths

This week in Maths we have been working hard to find a 1/2 and 1/4 of a variety of shapes. We have also continued practicing our division outside, this will help us next week when begin to find fractions of amounts.

Geography
In Geography, we have been thinking about the human and physical features of our school. We looked at our outdoor area and devised maps, thinking about where each feature was located. We used lots of positional language such as near, far, in front, behind and even devised a key for the different surfaces.
