Year 1 Barleylands Trip

  

Well done to Year 1 for behaving so well at Barleylands. 

The trip was to teach the children how food is grown on a farm and how we use it in everyday recipes. The children made homemade pizza, and made the dough from scratch! Kneading the dough and then adding the toppings to make it delicious. We hope that they let you try a little piece!

As well as the pizza making, the children had time to explore the farm. They were able to feed the sheep and stroke the goats. They also had a ride on the tractor, exploring the grounds of Barleylands, which was so much fun and at times a bit of a bumpy ride! 

We would like to send a special thank you to the parent helpers who came to Barleylands with us for being SUPER parent helpers. Also, a big thank you for all the parents that paid for the trip.

Beech class - Barleylands Trip

 

Well done to Beech Class for behaving so well at Barleylands.

Finally, we had a lovely time playing in the park.

Apricot Class- Barleylands trip

 

Well done to Apricot Class for behaving so well at Barleylands. We are so proud of them!!

                            Gentle Reminder

Dear Year 1 Parents,

This is a gentle reminder that we are still expecting the £15 contribution towards our  Barleylands Trip. We know  parents can be very busy and might have forgotten the payment. As was stated on the letter to parents, the trip might not go ahead if we do not receive enough contributions as the cost of the trip is way beyond our budget but we know our children deserve the very best.

 The trip is now less three weeks away and the children would very much love to go on this trip. So please send the payment to the office and the permission slip to your child's class teacher.

 You do not have to worry about this reminder if you have made your contributions.
