Exploring Nature with Wild Passport
This week, our young adventurers set off on an exciting journey into the great outdoors with Wild Passport — diving into the wonders of nature through fun, hands-on exploration.
The day kicked off with a thrilling mini-beast hunt. With curious eyes and eager hands, the children searched under logs and through tall grass, spotting beetles, worms, and ladybirds. They observed closely, asked thoughtful questions, and discovered how even the tiniest creatures play important roles in the natural world.
Next came a leaf-finding mission. Armed with identification charts, the children embarked on a leafy treasure hunt, matching shapes and colours to tree types.
We then stepped into the shoes of nature detectives, working together to link footprints to their rightful owners. From beaver tracks to bird prints, each muddy clue sparked imagination and storytelling.
To finish off the day, the children took part in an exciting orienteering challenge. Using maps of the school grounds, they tracked down hidden codes, scanned them, and matched each one to a bird species — combining navigation, problem-solving, and wildlife knowledge.
It was a day filled with exploration and teamwork. We’re already looking forward to our next Wild Passport adventure!
