This week in Geography, our young explorers set off on an exciting journey into the world of maps! They investigated different types of maps and discovered key features like compass roses and map keys—essential tools to help us make sense of our world.
Then, using Google Earth, the children zoomed from space right down to their own doorstep, successfully locating:
🗺️ England
📍 London
🏡 Harold Hill
It was fantastic to see their excitement as familiar places came into view! These map-reading skills will be a big help as we move on to explore the Equator, Northern Hemisphere, and Southern Hemisphere—helping us understand where we are in the big, wide world.
