Here is what we have been up to:

The children have also been working hard in History this week. They learnt about comparing the reign of Queen Victoria and King Charles III and identified the similarities and differences between the times.

As part of the Broadford DIY learning, the children practiced the ‘perfect writing posture’ and the ‘perfect pen hold’. The children supported their peers to remember, back to the back of the chair, feet flat on the floor and holding the paper still. They also practiced the tripod grasp using ‘frog fingers’!

Just a reminder to parents that the Parent Evening invitation slips have been sent home today, please see your child's class teacher if you didn't receive one.

Year 1 Easter Activities!

Happy Easter!

Your children will be coming home with Easter activities today. They will be given 2 booklets, one is a Math activity and the other is Phonics practice.

When the children complete the Phonics assessments later  in the year, they will be tested on both Alien and real words which is why it is a good idea for the children to start practicing now.

Thank you all for your support.

The Year 1 Team.
