This morning was a windy one so we stayed out on the field away from any trees. We were thinking about noticing the details in nature. As we looked closely around us we noticed different coloured grass, feathers, small leaves and even a bird watching us as he sat close by in the grass. We thought he might be injured but Alison Ant investigated and moved him carefully away and then he flew into a tree. We filled our matchboxes with tiny treasures. We then looked closely at some Elder leaves and branches nothing the leaves were in sets of 5 and the branches were soft inside. We learnt how to remove the pith from the middle of the elder beads using a peg and making sure it always pointed downwards. Then we made caterpillars, bracelets and even some wind streamers. It was great to see most people had remembered their waterproofs and wellies, thanks for sending them in.
