1666 Day in Year 2!
This half term we have been learning about the Great fire of London and the period in which it happened. Today, the children have dressed up in clothes reflecting the life of 1666. They have taken part in different activities such as making and baking bread, completed word searches and created The Great Fire of London pictures.
“The bread is so soft. I enjoyed kneading the bread.” - Cruz, Pine.
“People in 1666 had a lot of fun baking.”- Oliver, Rowan.
“The fire spread quickly because houses were made out of wood.” - Amira, Mulberry.
“People must have felt quite scared during the fire.”-Ryan, Pine.
“I enjoyed making pictures from the Great Fire of London.”- Bella, Mulberry.
“We had a really fun day today.”- Amaira, Rowan.
