Year 1 in Action November 2

Fine Motor Skills

To help strengthen children's fine motor skills we have introduced them to different skills and sensory textures to help them develop their skills for writing. Here the children are enjoying hard and slippery slime to pour and mould.

Apricot class love getting creative with cling film and paint. They enjoyed painting on the cling film and being able to see through the work they had created.

Walnut class have been enjoying working on their fine motor skills too.

Beech Class

We have been super busy this month in the continuous provision. We have been completing writing tasks, problem solving in the construction area, role play and continuing our fine motor skill work.

Across Year 1 the children have been super busy during their self- led learning time. We’ve seen fantastic imaginative play both inside and outside the classroom. The children have been creating their own stories and acting them out. We’ve had Elsa and Anna busy  in the home corner , a puppet show, new ‘teachers’ to the class teaching RWI and a foreign holiday aboard an airplane.
