What a fantastic week we have had in Year 2! All the children have returned to school with a positive attitude, dedication and enthusiasm. However, many children have shown extra hard work throughout the week.

Bella, for being a fantastic role model this week. You have shown excellent teamwork skills, hard work and resilience when completing class activities. But most importantly, you have proven to be a caring friend. Well done!
Batool, for being absolutely absorbed in your literacy work and producing fantastic ideas in order to write a great diary entry.
Nina, for being absolutely amazing with other pupils in our class. You are always very helpful and encourage others to play. You are very kind, well done.
The Star Writer awards go to:
Maya-Aisha, for being able to write an amazing diary entry this week, ensuring that it is written in the past tense and beginning to use good punctuation. Well done!
Emmalee, for using such great punctuation in your diary entry writing. You were able to identify the features of a diary entry well.
Elsie, for independently writing a diary entry about your day. You used the knowledge of your sounds to write a great piece of work. Well done!
We have also awarded children for their efforts in their learning, their pupil jobs and reaching the high expectations set in Broadford Primary school.

These pupils have demonstrated perseverance, managed distractions, noticed patterns and been absorbed in their task.

These pupils have planned carefully, revised ideas, identified key features and can talk about their learning.
