Literacy
This week the children retold Jack and
the Baked Beanstalk using their detailed plan.
In their writing they focused on the correct use
of past and present tense.
Maths: Fractions
This week the children have been working
hard to recognise and find one third.
The children also enjoyed taking their
learning outside and practicing
representing a variety of different fractions.
History
This week the children learnt about where
the Industrial Revolution started and how
it changed Britain. They found out that the
revolution started in Britain and Manchester
was the first industrial city in the world!
Additionally, they found out that there was
mass migration from the villages and small
towns to cities which resulted in overcrowded
cities during the revolution.
