Year 1- What we have been learning/Week 3

 

This week in literacy, the children have been learning about the importance of recycling. The children have also focused on descenders (letters that sit below the line) and ascenders (letters that sit above the line). 

In maths this week we were exploring arrays! These are arrangements of objects, numbers or symbols that are placed into rows and columns. We learnt how to count using arrays and what a column and row looked like. The children found this a little tricky but tried super hard!

 

In History this week, we have continued to learn about the printing press. We learnt about how letters are sent and then we had the opportunity to write our own letters!
