Year 1 - Week 2 Celebration Certificates



Well done to Connie in Walnut Class for engaging with the home learning with fantastic enthusiasm. It was lovely to hear the feedback from your parent about the effort you’ve been putting into your home learning. Connie used a 10 frame in Maths to help her find the correct subtraction sentences. Well done Connie, keep up the super work!



Well done to Adra in Apricot Class for her brilliant retelling of a Traction Man story this week. Adra has been working really hard this week and has used exciting adjectives to make her writing grip the reader! Fantastic work Adra!




Well done to Ali in Beech Class for his amazing effort and enthusiasm during his video calls with Miss Martin. Ali greeted Miss Martin with his lovely big smile and joined in with all of his learning. It was clear that Ali had been working hard at home.  Miss Martin was very impressed and is looking forward to her next video call with Ali.









Well done to Dina in Walnut Class for her super learning in the classroom. Dina has been writing about Traction Man by thinking of adjectives to describe his appearance and personality. Dina has been trying her best and practicing her letter formation. Super effort Dina, well done!



Well done to Chuka in Apricot Class for his excellent effort in Literacy this week. Chuka stepped into character as Traction Man to retell a story. Chuka applied his sounds and used lots of interesting adjectives. Well done Chuka!




Well done to Elliot in Beech Class for his super effort this week. Elliot has been working very hard with nan this week learning his sounds in phonics and applying them to his writing. He also did some fantastic drawings to go with his writing. Well done Elliot for all of your hard work!



The 4 R's - Resilience, Reciprocity, Resourcefulness and Reflectiveness

Resilience - Well done to Blake in Walnut Class for your super effort completing the home learning lessons in Maths and Literacy. Blake has tried his best this week to stay motivated and shared his learning with his teacher. Well done Blake, keep up the great work!


Resourcefulness - Well done to Veer in Walnut Class for thinking about the properties of different materials such as wood, plastic, metal and cardboard and experimenting create a bridge. Veer tested the strength of his bridge by placing characters on top! Fantastic experiment Veer, well done!


 



Resilience - Well done to Lily-Mae in Apricot Class for your brilliant effort this week in all areas, particularly in her phonics 1:1 call with Mrs Eve, well done Lily-Mae!



Resilience -  Well done to Olivia  in Apricot Class for your consistent hard work in all areas                                                     of home learning this week, well done Olivia!







Resilience - Well done to Noah in Beech Class. This week was a very special week for Noah as his baby brother was born. Everyone loved seeing Noah’s new baby making an appearance on our morning greeting. Despite all of this excitement, Noah still managed his 1:1 video call with Miss Martin and did a fabulous job!



Well done to all the children and grown ups this week, you've all made a brilliant start to the New Year!
