Year 2 Home Learning

Good Morning Year 2,

Firstly we would like to wish you all a very happy new year. Although  the start to 2021 looks a little different from usual, we really look forward to continuing your learning with you and supporting you at home. 2020 has been a learning curve for us all and we continue to reflect on, and improve, how we can all work from home and ensure you all continue to learn lots and try your best!

Today we will share Monday's learning, we will then share the learning for the rest of the week on Monday evening. This is so that your teachers can really think about how we can best support your learning at home through the next couple of weeks. Please log in to your google classroom today and submit your work via this platform.

Check you can access these online platforms today:

Login details have been emailed before, if you have any problems please email your teacher on the link at bottom of this blog.

Literacy

2020 was a very different year for us all, having to be apart from family, friends and your school community can be really hard but when we look back we can usually find some positives. Have a look a this New Years Eve fireworks video which reminds us of some of the key messages of 2020. Have a little think about about your best memory from last year and your hopes for 2021 and complete this activity.

Maths
Let's start our week with a few Winter Maths activities. The videos on Whiterose let you learn at home, try Building a Snowman and Dashing through the Snow today.

PSHE
It's important to talk about our feelings and reflect on these. Join in with the online lesson from the Oak Academy today.

Music
Join in with our favourite Rainbow Song! Sing along with the words, you can even send us a little clip of your best singing to cheer up everyone's day!

We will be in touch with you all and will be checking google classroom. Please email year12@broadford.havering.sch.uk if you have any questions for your teachers, ensure you put your child's name and class in the subject.

Best Wishes,
Year 2 Team
