Today, celebrates International women's day so we have been celebrating and speaking about all the wonderful women in the world that have achieved brilliant things, including the ladies in our own lives!
In relation to this, Temilola has brought in some amazing information about a truly inspirational woman - Dr Ameyo Stella Adadevoh. She was a Doctor in Nigeria who prevented an outbreak of Ebola by insisting an ill patient who entered the country was isolated. Although he and others resisted; she did not back down to them. Dr Ameyo Stella Adadevoh vehemently refused a request to release the patient to fly home. As a result of these actions, she prevented a possibly deadly Ebola outbreak. However during the process she sadly contracted the virus herself and later died.
