Year 1 : Learning Blog  Week 4

In Maths this week the  children were exploring 1 more of a number within 10. They used multlink to make a number then worked in pairs to add one more. 

They were using vocabulary such as more, less, after and before. 

This week in Literacy the children were writing sentences about our class story 'The King's Pants' the focus was to remember to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops in the correct places. 

This half term in Science the children will be learning about their five senses. This week our focus was  sight. The children enjoyed being blind folded to explore and guess items in the mystery box.
