Year 1 Awards

 

 

These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence


Apricot: Mason M

Mason has worked hard on his maths this week. He has been joining in on carpet sessions and in small groups to find 1 more than a given number. 


Beech:  Harley-Jean

For her outstanding work in Maths this week. She has shown excellent understanding of finding one more than a number within 10.



Walnut: Riya

For her positive attitude toward her learning; she tries her best to complete tasks with care and enthusiasm. Riya uses what she learns during carpet time, within the provision taking charge of her own learning! Super work Riya, keep it up.


  Star Writers 

Apricot: Keon

Keon worked super hard on his writing. He used his Capital letters, Fingers spaces and Full stops when writing about predictions. 


Beech:  Lama

For putting in great effort in Literacy this week by focusing on forming her letters correctly and consistently using capital letters and full stops. 


Walnut: Madison

For trying super hard to sound out words using the sound mats; when she is unsure, she uses her fred fingers and has begun to use more careful handwriting in her literacy book. Wonderful writing Madison! Keep it up. 



Learning Power Awards

These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life. 

Reciprocity

These children have shown interdependence, collaborated effectively, listened to others, displayed empathy and have imitated effective  ideas and methods from others. 


Reflectiveness 

These pupils have planned carefully, revised ideas, identified key features and can talk about their learning.

Resilience

These children have demonstrated perseverance, managed distractions, noticed patterns and been absorbed in their tasks. 


Ethan- For showing great resilience all week! He has completed a range of tasks to the best of his ability and overcome various challenges by working hard at them and not giving up. Excellent resilience, Ethan; keep it up!

Resourcefulness : Nourah 

Nourah has been extremely creative this week by making and drawing things that she has spent a lot of time and care doing. 



I Made My Teacher Happy Award :

Ivy-Rose 

Ivy-Rose is making a big effort in making sure she follows the classroom routine and knowing where she has placed her belongings. 



Hunter- For making fantastic choices this week! He followed instructions carefully and provided great feedback during class discussions. Super efforts, Hunter; you are making your teachers very happy!
