Literacy
This week the children have been exploring
the key vocabulary within the Chocolate Planet
story. They have also been able to implement
these words into their writing.
The children also explored a
new character. They had to
work together in teams to
think of exciting adjectives to describe him.
Maths: Position and Direction.
This week, the children learnt about the
language of position. They learnt to use
vocabulary like right, left, between, below
and above. Next, they described the position
of different objects in relation to each other.Well done Year 2.
Geography
This week in Geography, pupils explored
the different types of climates found
around the world. They learned how to
identify a country's climate using a map.
First, they located various countries on
a world map. Then, by examining each
country's position, they were able to
determine its climate using a Climate Zone Map.
