Literacy
This week in literacy, our classroom has
been bursting with creativity and imagination!
The children have been hard at work dreaming
up their very own characters — from fire-breathing
dragons to sneaky bats and a whole host of wild,
wacky and wonderful monsters. What made their
creations truly amazing were the incredible
adjectives they used to describe every fang,
feather, and scale. They didn’t just write about
their characters — they brought them to
life with vivid, powerful language that wowed us all!
Maths: Addition
This week, the children worked really hard to
solve addition problems. First, they looked at
the vocabulary of addition. Next, they partitioned
2-digits into 10s and 1s before adding the numbers.
After that, they solved problems using the expanded
addition method. Finally, they used a written column
method. Fantastic effort!
Geography
This week in Geography, pupils explored and
identified the climate of the United Kingdom.
They engaged in discussions about the variations
in weather across the four countries of the UK, England,
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. As part of their
learning, pupils successfully used weather symbols to
represent the different weather conditions happening
in various parts of the country.
