Welcome back to school Year 2!
The children were straight back into Maths and excited to begin their new topic- shape! The children have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes, looking at their properties and learning all their names. We have been investigating what makes a triangle a triangle and how these can come in different sizes and orientations.
The children have also been avidly completing jobs- making tallies out of a box of skittles, cutting out shape nets and completing tarsias.
The children have also been making 3D shapes themselves ensuring they have the correct properties!
