Year 2 Week 4 Learning
Literacy
This week, we have been planning our own versions of Jack and the baked beanstalk. We have created story mountains changing the setting at the top of the beanstalk and the giant. We will uses these to write our story over the next couple of weeks.
Maths
Maths has been all about measurement this week! We have learnt how to use a ruler to measure in centimetres and have been using metre sticks inside and outside.
Vocabulary: centimetres, longer, shorter, taller, shortest, longest
DT
This week, we began to make our chairs for Jack. We had to consider the different parts of the chair and how we would make them strong enough to hold Jack up. We showed fantastic reciprocity working with our partners.
