Year 2 Week 3 Learning
Literacy
This week in Literacy we have continued our work on 'Jack and the baked beanstalk'. We have completed some grammar work thinking about questions and using a question mark correctly. We then sequenced the story and learnt it with actions to help us remember the key points and vocabulary. We then got to work on thinking about our own versions that we will be writing, changing the setting. We came up with lots of ideas for a different setting at the top of the beanstalk including candy lands, dinosaur worlds and under the sea adventures.
Parents: Find the passage that we are learning here. Can you practise at home and remember the actions?
Maths
This week in maths we have been learning to tell the time to the nearest 15 minutes. We have enjoyed applying our knoweldge of half and quarters to help us with and are continuing to keep an eye of the clock in class looking out for o'clock, half past, quarter to and quarter past.
Parents: practise telling the time with this game.
