In Science, we have been looking at habitats. This week in Art, we applied all the things we have learnt about habitats to create dioramas.
The children worked in teams to turn an ordinary cardboard box into a jungle, ocean or woodland habitat. They thought about the features of the habitat they were making and found resources to to start getting creative! The children showed great reciprocity skills in listening to each others ideas and assisting each other in building trees, vines and coasts! There were lots of discussions around the types of animals that would live in each habitat and the reasons why they suit their habitat so well.
