Year One- Week 4's Celebration Certificates

Year 1 - Week 2 Celebration Certificates

Walnut

Stanley worked hard in his Maths assessment this week. He asked for support when he felt unsure and worked out the answers by himself. Fantastic effort Stanley, well done!

Teo, for collecting worms to be our class pets. Teo made sure that the worms had everything they would need to survive and took the worms around the class so everyone could observe them. Well done for fueling class curiosity about worms Teo and for taking such good care of them.

Poppy, for her excellent efforts in science this week. Poppy has been keen to independently set up experiments to see if there would be a reaction when mixing different things. She discovered that when you mix vinegar and soda, she got the biggest and best reaction.

Blake shared his ideas of what he knows about snails in literacy and independently wrote about putting a pet snail ‘in a cave and feeding it grass’ to look after it. A wonderful idea Blake and well done for showing care for the living creatures around you.

Freddie, for thinking of lots of things that he would like to find out about snails. Freddie then worked together with his partner to write the questions down, using his sounds and capital letters. Well done Freddie!

Jefflyn, for her excellent fact writing this week. Jefflyn wrote down everything she thought she knew about snails and one question she wanted to find out. Jefflyn used her sound mat to help her spell her words.

Reciprocity - Ayaan, for his super enthusiasm in thinking of ideas for a class pet. Ayaan independently found worms in the outside area and encouraged other children to find worms and they added soil and leaves for the worms to eat. Well done Ayaan for sharing your ideas and encouraging other children to join in.

Reciprocity - Jide, for playing nicely with the Marble Run with a group of children. Jide took turns and shared the resources. Well done Jide!

Resilience - Teddy, for amazing reading. Teddy has been working so hard practising his sounds and blending them together. Well done Teddy, keep up the fabulous effort!
