We are excited to inform you of our Year 1 Space Day on Monday 2nd October 2023. Children are invited to dress up, inspired by astronauts or aliens (silver, blue and white clothes or colourful clothes). As part of our history and science units, the children will be learning about the first man to walk on the moon. Afterward, the children will complete a series of exciting space-themed activities.
As part of our Space Day experience the children will be making 'space food'. This consists of rice krispies, white chocolate, and marshmallows. We have a list of all children's dietary requirements and will be making necessary arrangements to ensure that all children can participate in the activities. If you do not want your child to participate please let us know by emailing the year 1 mailbox - year1@broadford.havering.sch.uk or speak to your child’s class teacher.
