Amazing Lego Constructions

Lego is a great resource for developing children's creativity, fine motor skills, team work and curiosity. This week the children have been given some challenges based around lego bricks.

After encouragement to build something using exactly 30 lego bricks Fitzroy worked hard to count the bricks and created some great models. He built a Batmobile for his favourite super hero and a super machine. Thanks to our lovely, new whiteboards that are attached to shelving units, he was also able to draw and explain his model.











The model below is a super house the children worked together to create. Some of the key features include revolving doors, viewing platforms to spy on any potential enemies and a large bed to relax in. Characters were created from lego and the house then became the centre of many adventure stories that day!


You may be looking at the work of future engineers, architects or artists. Apparently many have translated a childhood love of lego to careers in art, building and design!
