Year 1 Awards

 

 

These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence


Apricot: Sophia 

Sophia has a positive attitude towards all her learning. Sophia always tries her best with her work and will amend any work that is not correct. A great skill to have. 



Beech: Amedea

For her hard work in Read, Write, Inc. Amedea has been trying had to Fred Talk and Fred words in her head as well as reading alien words. Well done!



Walnut: Eridola

For taking time to think about hot to work out her answers in maths. Eridola then shares her findings with her class. Fantastic effort!



Star Writers 

Apricot: Farzaan 

Farzaan works brilliantly in Literacy. He has lovely ideas and can now write independently. Faraan’s handwriting and letter formation is neat and tidy. 



Beech: Ashton

Ashton wrote a list of all the ingredients he needed to buy to make his cake. He used lots of amazing adjectives to describe his ingredients. 



 Walnut: Issam

For using a range of phonics in his writing! Issam is independently spotting some set 2 and 3 sounds and using them in his literacy work. Fabulous!




 Reciprocity

These children have shown interdependence, collaborated effectively, listened to others, displayed empathy and have imitated effective  ideas and methods from others. 


Harley J 

Harley J worked well with her partner and partitioned 2 digit numbers into tens and ones. Well done Harley J! 



Reflectiveness 

These pupils have planned carefully, revised ideas, identified key features and can talk about their learning. 



Resilience

These children have demonstrated perseverance, managed distractions, noticed patterns and been absorbed in their tasks. 


Adon- Adon has been working hard and managing distractions of the classroom when completing his maths. 





Resourcefulness   

These pupils have been curious about learning, made links between ideas, shown imagination, reasoned methodically and capitalised on resources. 


Alexandra- for using various resources in the classroom to practise her phonics with her friends. Great resourcefulness 





I Made My Teacher Happy Award 

Serghei - Serghei has been working hard on his maths, counting in tens and ones.



Levi - you have worked really hard in Read, Write, Inc, blending your sounds. Keep up the brilliant work! 



Adam- For his enthusiasm in forest school. Adam was super excited to try all the sensory activities!
