Year 1 Awards

 

 

These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence

Apricot: Ahmad 

Ahmad has a positive attitude to learning. Ahmad is always working with a big smile even when thighs are tricky. 




Beech: Jessica

For her brilliant Maths work this week. Jessica worked hard to partition two digit numbers into ten and ones using part whole models. Well done Jessica! 




Walnut: Ryan

For showing lots of resilience when things change and showing a positive attitude towards his learning. Well done Ryan!




  Star Writers 

Apricot: Rory

Rory is trying his best with his handwriting practice and using very exciting vocabulary when describing the setting of the story. 



Beech: Harley J

Harley J used amazing adjectives to describe a setting. Well done Harley J!



 Walnut: Leo

For trying really hard to use his set 2 special friends in his writing. Leo has been showing other children how to find certain sounds on the sound mat. Fabulous work, Leo!

These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life.

These children have shown interdependence, collaborated effectively, listened to others, displayed empathy and have imitated effective  ideas and methods from others. 




Reflectiveness 

These pupils have planned carefully, revised ideas, identified key features and can talk about their learning. 


Resilience

These children have demonstrated perseverance, managed distractions, noticed patterns and been absorbed in their tasks. 



Sophia 

Sophia works hard and manages distractions fantastically by staying focused to reach the end goal. 



Resourcefulness   

These pupils have been curious about learning, made links between ideas, shown imagination, reasoned methodically and capitalised on resources. 


Charlie-

Charlie made lots of brilliant creations in the Construction Area using lots of different resources. Well done Charlie! 



Rosie-

 For getting creative in the art area, using a range of resources to make wonderful creations with her friends. Well done Rosie!








I Made My Teacher Happy Award 


Sophie

Sophie is so kind to her friends that are feeling sad. Sophie gives her friends comfort and includes them in her play.
