Dear Year 1 and Year 2 Parents and Carers,
We would like to inform you that spelling lists will not be sent home next week. This decision has been made to allow time for the Read Write Inc. (RWI) assessments, which will be taking place throughout the week. These assessments are an important part of monitoring the children’s progress and ensuring they are placed in the most appropriate groups for their learning. If you would like to support your children with this at home, please ensure they are reading their RWI books.
As this is already a particularly busy time of year, we want to ensure that the children are not overwhelmed. We will complete one last spelling test on the following week.
