It was day two of baking and our new groups were super excited!
In the morning, they got into their groups and followed the recipe to make their light, fluffy sponge! They used the electric whisk to mix the ingredients together and then decided to use food colouring to give their sponge the wow factor!
We took the cakes to Michelle the cook to bake and then had to wait for them to cool down before we could decorate them. After lunch they were cool enough to add all of the scrumptious decorations that we bought from Lidl. They children were beyond excited!
At the end of the day, it was finally time to have our tea party and try our cakes. The children loved it!
The children had an amazing time. They are bring hope a slice of their hard work to show you... enjoy!
