Year 2 Home Learning

 Good Morning,

We hope you had a lovely weekend and spent some time in the snow! You have all done so well and it is the last week of home learning before half term. We have tried to keep it interesting and fun so we hope you enjoy.

We will be completing some reading assessments in reading sessions this week, this is nothing for parents to worry about at all. It is just so we can see what sounds to focus on next.

Here is the timetable for Week 6:

Week 6

We know it can be a stressful time for families and from speaking to parents/children last week we know as time goes on it can feel harder, the children are missing their friends and they can find it hard to motivate themselves. Try and tune in to our live sessions so they can continue to connect with friends, teachers and classmates. Also remember to allow children to take break between sessions, go for walks if you can, let them complete some free art activities, play with their toys, play in the snow if it stays! Breaking up the day can really help.

There are some ideas that could help you if your child is finding something hard:https://www.mentallyhealthyschools.org.uk/media/2035/coronavirus-dealing-with-effects-toolkit-5.pdf

Of course grown-ups are equally as important, there are some resources you could use here; https://www.nhs.uk/oneyou/every-mind-matters/. We think you are doing an amazing job between all of your other responsibilities. Be kind to yourself and celebrate each small success.

Email us at:year12@broadford.havering.sch.uk with your child's name in the title if you have any questions or would like some support.
