Week 5 Home learning - Year 2

Week 5 Home Learning

Year One | Huntingdon Primary School

Good morning everyone,

We hope you are all well as we enter week 5 of Home Learning. You are doing such a fantastic job in this uncertain time and its been great to hear about everyone working hard to adapt to this situation.

There are now a few ways to get in touch with the school To ensure you have a speedy response, can I ask that you use our Year 1 and 2 mail box please? The Year 2 team can access this directly. If you send a message via Facebook, it may take some time to get to us.
We are currently experiencing a very high volume of emails coming through as we try and give access to Google Classroom to 180 children.  Thank you so much for bearing with us, we are trying our very best to ensure we are providing you with the information you need and sorting any problems that may occur. Please give us 24hrs to respond to you and if you have not heard back from us, contact us again.

Last week, we introduced Google Classroom to Key Stage One and so far we have had 36 children sign up. It's been lovely to see examples of children's work and  to be able to read and respond to messages from them.

Children can also send messages to each other on the stream. We liked seeing the children comment on Harry's tadpoles. Also, Lottie saying hello to her friends on the stream. Keep it up guys!

For those that haven't joined, please email us at
year12@broadford.havering.sch.uk  with 'Google Classroom' in the subject heading. We will then reply with your child's log in details.

As always, below is week 5's timetable. Remember, you can chose to follow it or dip in and out as it suits you. Each day there will be a maths, literacy, PE, topic and wellness session.

This week is based on the story, 'The Storm Whale', by Benji Davies

Log into Google Classroom to see this week's activities based on this story.

Below is link for this week's spellings, please ensure that children practice them every day.
Every Friday, we will release the spellings test via video.

Please continue to practice the 2, 3, 5 and 10 times tables daily. There are videos on YouTube that your child can join in with.

This week our focus is addition and subtraction, log into Google classroom to complete the activities.
