Year 1 Awards

 

These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence

Apricot: Harvey 

Harvey has worked so hard in both Literacy and History. He has been using his knowledge and ideas to create detailed sentences. Well done! 


Beech:

  Mavis has been awarded the E for Excellence award in recognition of her brilliant efforts in every lesson. Mavis has produced amazing pieces of Maths and Literacy. She has also been an excellent role model this week, demonstrating the 4R’s, especially showing reciprocity by working well with others. Well done Mavis!




Walnut: Joshua

Joshua, you have earned this award for using your mathematical skills to conscientiously  find number bonds to 20 in different ways. Super effort!


  Star Writers 

Apricot: Eric 

Eric completed detailed sentences for History on why Mary Seacole was a real superhero. His writing was clear and neat with finger spaces in all the right places. 



Beech: 

Noah has been awarded this award for his amazing descriptive writing. Noah wrote sentences as his character that he created in the classroom. He remembered all of his sentence rules. Well done Noah!



Walnut: Mateo

Well done Mateo for using appropriate first person pronouns to write a speech for your character. Also,  you used  amazing adjectives to a great effect in your writing.  Brilliant effort!

These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life. 


Reciprocity

These children have shown interdependence, collaborated effectively, listened to others, displayed empathy and have imitated effective  ideas and methods from others.

Munsha has been awarded the Reciprocity award for working well with others in every area of learning. Also, during Maths this week she worked super hard to complete the ten frames activity and worked brilliantly with her partner. Well done Munsha!

These pupils have planned carefully, revised ideas, identified key features and can talk about their learning.
