La Tasca

Today the children were treated to a cookery demonstration and tasting session from the 'La Tasca' restaurant bases at Lakeside. Excitedly, the children watched the chicken, peppers and onions sizzling on the huge paella dish. The delicious smells tickled our noses with anticipation, as each new ingredient was added.

Waiting patiently the children asked questions about how the paella was made, where the ingredients came from and why was there chocolate sauce on the table?

Soon the children were able to taste the colourful paella and the room fell silent. The children savoured every bit and even asked for more. Shortly after the paella dish had been emptied, the children were allowed a doughnut covered in chocolate sauce. The overwhelming verdict was that the food was scrumptious and could we find out more about food in the summer term?
