This week, we have been working hard to prepare for our art exhibition! The children were tasked with creating their own mono prints.
After carefully exploring the work of other artists, the children were able to choose their own materials and resources to create their designs. They learned how to make a mono print inspired by a woodland habitat, thinking carefully about composition, texture, and colour.
To support their ideas, the children reflected on their prior knowledge from science lessons, considering which animals might live in a woodland habitat and how to include them in their artwork. This helped them create thoughtful and detailed prints that combine both creativity and learning from other subjects.
It was wonderful to see the children exploring new techniques, making independent choices, and connecting their art to the natural world. We are very excited to share their work in the upcoming exhibition!
