Week 2 Learning- Year 2

RE

In RE this week, the children learnt about who Christians think

God is and drew their own impression of God based on a

Kenning (two-word phrase describing something  using a metaphor) Poem about God.

Next, they made a class book with the annotated drawings. Well done Year 2!

                           Literacy

In Literacy, pupils have been describing the appearance and

personality of the penguin in Lost and Found. Also,

they have looked at the features of a missing poster to create their own missing posters using the appearance and personality descriptions they carefully thought of. 

                                                         Maths

This week in maths we finished our learning about money.

The children used their problem solving skills to solve 2 step problems.

We showed all we had learnt at the end of our unit through assessment!

We also revisited number bonds, addition and subtraction. We were able to add and subtract simple numbers as well as challenging numbers!
