History
This week in History we learnt about Firefighters
then and now. We found out that in
1666 people only had fire hooks, leather buckets and horse
and carts to transport water. Now we have modern
technology, fireproof clothing and fire engines.
Did you know when the fire service was
started they would only go to the homes
of people who had money to pay them?
Literacy
In literacy, the children looked at the features of a
diary entry and used them to write a diary entry
about their best day at school. It was lovely reading
about the children’s favourite subjects
and their love for learning.
Math
In Math, pupils have learned about counting
forwards and backwards on a number line as
well as filling in the missing numbers on a number
line. They have used their prior knowledge of
counting to 100 to work out and estimate any
numbers on a number line. Also, they were able
to compare objects using the following signs < > =.
