Year 1 Spelling Information

Every Monday, your child will receive a set of spellings in their spelling book. These words will fall into two categories: 'red words' (which cannot be sounded out) and 'high-frequency words' (commonly used in writing).

Kindly ensure that your child brings their spelling book to school every Friday. They will take their spelling test in this book, allowing you to review their progress. New spellings will be sent home in the book each Monday.
