Year 1 - What we have been Learning

Welcome to all the children and parents to Year 1. This is our 'What we are learning' blog to show all the parents what the children have been up to and what they have been learning.

This week your children have been sent home with Reading and Spelling books. Please can you practise reading and spelling with your children everyday at home. We understand that this can be difficult, but it is extremely beneficial for your children. Your children will have allocated reading days where they will be read too and have their reading books changed. Please could we ask for Spelling books to be returned on Friday morning. Your children will take their test in these books and have new spellings to take home.

If you have any questions, please ask your Class teacher.

The children have had a FANTASTIC first full week! They have been getting used to the new routine and working hard, we are very proud of them. This week they have experienced their first History and Science lessons which they really enjoyed.
