Year 2 trip to Barleylands
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are delighted to inform you about an upcoming trip for the children in Year Two. On Friday 15th July we will be visiting Barleylands. This is in relation to our Science topic whereby we will be taking park in a 'Healthy Lunchbox' workshop. We are sure that you will agree that this will be an excellent opportunity for us to support your child’s scientific understanding as well as an enjoyable way to end their time in Year 2.
We aim to leave at approximately 8:45am so please arrive at school on time. We will be travelling by coach and we will be back by the end of the school day . Children need to bring a packed lunch in a named carrier bag or you can fill in the attached lunch form.
They will be accompanied on the day by teachers and support staff, but we will also need additional help from parents/carers. If you are interested and are likely to be available on the day, please indicate this on the form. If interest from parents/carers is high, then we will pull names out of a hat. The children will be required to wear school uniform for the trip along with suitable footwear, comfortable for walking in.
Should the weather be hot, please ensure your child has a sunhat and sun-cream applied.
We are asking for a £12 contribution towards the cost of the trip. This can be paid through your child's Squid account, you will receive further information regarding payment in due course.
