Year 1 Awards

 

  

We have had another great week and there has been so much to celebrate in Year 1! 

These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence


Walnut: Haileigh

Haileigh has worked very hard to partition numbers and identify the 10s with the 1s. Well done Haileigh. 





Apricot: Henry 

Henry has been trying his best in every lesson. Henry has worked really hard this week in taking care of his work and trying hard when partitioning in math. 

Beech: Sofia

Sofia, you have been working super hard during all of the adult-led sessions. You always try your best in all of the adult-led sessions and give 100% effort. Excellent work Sofia!



  

  Star Writers 

 

Walnut:Chloe

Chloe worked hard to use her phonics skills to independently write a set of instructions for baking a cake.  She used  adjectives and adverbs  to add details too . Well done Chloe!

 

 

Apricot: Leo

Leo has been putting lots of effort in his writing. He uses his phonics when spelling and unfamiliar words and usd these skills to write a list of ingredients to make a cake. 

Beech: Carina

Carina, you have worked hard to complete your ingredient list and recipe. Well done Carina. 

 

 

 

 

Learning Power Awards

These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life. 


 

Reflectiveness 

These pupils have planned carefully, revised ideas, identified key features and can talk about their learning. 

Adam H thinks carefully about his writing and is always willing to improve on it. Well done Adam!

Resilience

These children have demonstrated perseverance, managed distractions, noticed patterns and been absorbed in their tasks. 

Aadya has earned this award for her unwavering commitment to improving her work. Aadya produces outstanding writing because she perseveres and devotes all her attention to her work. Super effort!

This has been awarded to: Isabella 

Isabella has been sharing her opinions and ideas during carpet sessions. 

 

Cruz has earned this award for being a kind and helpful member of the class.  Cruz is always willing to help any of his peers who needs it’p and likes to tidy up too.
