Year 1 Awards

 

  

We have had another great week and there has been so much to celebrate in Year 1! 

These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence


Walnut: Jasmine


Apricot: Henry

Henry has been working very hard in Math. He has been working hard on his place value to 50, trying to work independently but also listening to feedback and correcting work. Good job! 





Beech:Nikita

Nikita, in recognition of his hard work and always giving 100% effort. You have been working extremely hard both at home and in school. Well Done Nikita.



 

 

 

  Star Writers 

 

Walnut: Lilly and Batool 

 

Lilly and Batool both wrote descriptive pieces of writing in literacy this week, using adjectives and conjunctions in their work. 

 

Apricot: Ava 

Ava has completed great writing using adjectives to describe what it was like and how it may have felt  going on a bear hunt. Ava has also been working hard on her handwriting. 

 

 


 

Beech:Nashwan

 


Nashwan, for choosing a scene from our class story and writing descriptive sentences about the setting.



 

 

 

Learning Power Awards

These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life. 

 

Reciprocity

These children have shown interdependence, collaborated effectively, listened to others, displayed empathy and have imitated effective  ideas and methods from others.

Hussain has been working well with others. He is gaining confidence in talking to his peers to solve problems in his play.

These pupils have planned carefully, revised ideas, identified key features and can talk about their learning.

These children have demonstrated perseverance, managed distractions, noticed patterns and been absorbed in their tasks.
