Year 2 have been investigating division problems. They began by making sure they counted the total number of objects first, they checked how many to divide by and then were able to share or group to find the answer. We have looked in depth at dividing by 2, 5 and 10 and have even been able to use our division knowledge to solve word problems. In the outside area we have been working on a large scale using hoops and beanbags to solve our division number sentences.
