   Literacy

This week the children have explored a 

variety of non-chronological reports. 

They have been fact finding information 

about meerkats ready to create their own

 reports next week! They children have 

discovered the features of a non-chronological 

report and created their own plans to

support their writing next week. 

Maths

This week, the children learnt to order the lengths 

and heights of various items. Next, they  solved lengths

 and heights problems involving the  four operations of

 addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. 

Well done Year 2.

     

This week, the children learnt about the 

difference between volume and capacity. 

Thereafter, they compared the volumes 

 of various liquids and the capacities 

of a range of containers.

                                                            

RE

This week the children learnt about a Mosque, and 

what muslims do to prepare for a prayer and

 to enter the building.
