This week Apricot Class were blessed with a beautiful sunny morning to start their second block of Forest School sessions.

This week’s theme was ‘animals in nature’.  Many of the children were able to share with the group their ideas which included rabbits, crickets, owls and spiders.

The children then listened to a story about a bird building a nest before laying her eggs.

The activities on offer for the children this week were nest building, clay animals, and bird watching and identification.

The children were also fascinated by some ice they found in a puddle.

We finished the session with a new game called ‘Squirrel in a Tree’.

Thank you to everyone who supplied welly boots and waterproofs for their child. We did have many children without wellies this week and although we do have a few spares in school it is often difficult to find the correct size. Therefore, if they haven’t bought in welly’s and waterproofs, please can they do so for next week’s session
