Science
This week in science we looked at living things and
their habitats. We learnt about life processes
and what something needs to be living.
We came to understand why different animals
live in different habitats. We focused on
costal, urban, woodland and pond habitats.
Our task was to look at a habitat, draw
what animals live there and write what habitat it is.
Literacy
This week, Year 2 children became letter-writing
royalty! Some wrote letters in role as
The Queen while others decided to be His
Majesty The King. Their mission was to ask the
amazing Egg Box Dragon to use his super
powers to help them find their brightest and
largest diamond which they have lost.
Will Egg Box Dragon find the jewel or will he
disappoint? Was his journey to the palace
eventful and what was his impression of the
palace? Find out next week!
Maths
This week pupils have explored the properties
of 2D and 3D shapes. They were able to recognise
and draw 2D shapes. Also they have counted
the sides and vertices on 2D shapes. Well done year 2!
