Year 1 - What we have been learning

Well Done to all the children who went on the trip this week. We are all so proud of how they behaved, say on the bus and the questions that some children were very inquisitive.

     Trips to the church 

Science

This week the children have been learning the difference between Carnivores, Herbivores and Omnivores. They completed a Veen Diagram to separate different animals. 

Literacy

Year 1 has been writing sentences on the new book we are reading, The Midnight Panther.  The children made predictions on what they thought the book was going to be about. They use adjectives and conjunctions in their writing to make in more interesting. 

Maths

The children have been introduced to Number bonds to 10 this week. The children have been completing worksheets and using Numicon to make and show how Number Bonds can be formed.
