Mulberry class- Forest School

 

Mulberry class have had a few enjoyable forest school sessions. We would like to share their wonderful learning. 

18.11.2022-

Musical fun at forest school today. We played instruments and worked out how they made sounds. We created our own orchestras with woodland sounds - tapping sticks, shaking leaves, scrunching leaves and shaking acorns in our hands. We even wrote our own musical notation and performed our pieces. Well done Year 2.

25.11.2022- 

Mulberry class had a lovely morning exploring our senses in the sun at forest school today.

We  played the bat and moth game using  hearing to locate moth.

Then we used our sight to look for different coloured leaves to make colour cards and leaf pictures. 

 We guessed what items were in the feely bags by feeling them and used adjectives to describe the textures.

02.12.2022-

Mulberry class displayed patience today as they waited their turn to cook on the fire. They choose from a selection of brioche, marshmallows and apple (which they could roll in cinnamon sugar). Everyone remembered to use the respect position and enjoyed trying new food cooked over the fire. They played games and made reindeer decorations to take home. A fun filled morning for Year 2.
