This morning saw the final session for Year 2 this year. It was all change due to the heat. We put up plenty of shelters to provide shade. We had a reading/relaxing zone, a kitchen zone, a creating zone and a water zone. There was plenty of water fun as we slashed each other with water on a tarp and even had a little paddle. We decorated stones and made people/animals from pine cones in our creating zone. The kitchen zone was very busy as we all took part in prepping the food and drink. Chocolate was broken up and left in the sun to melt ready to be used as a chocolate fondue with a whole selection of fruit and treats to dip. Ice and strawberries were crushed to make our own slushes with a squeeze of lemon for extra flavour. All these things helped us stay cool on a very warm day. We were thankful for the fresh air and the breeze. There were several children claiming it was the best forest school ever! See you all next year.
