Year 1 Awards

 

  

We have had another great week and there has been so much to celebrate in Year 1! 

These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence


Walnut: Adalind

Adalind has earned this award for her brilliant effort in solving word problems. Well done!




Apricot: Elliot Ellis 

Elliot Ellis has been trying very hard in maths. He has been working on his addition this week using different methods and equipment to find the answers. Well Done! 



Beech: 

Oscar, you have been working super hard this term in all areas of the curriculum. You have shown a great attitude towards the RWI and math sessions. Well done Oscar! 


  Star Writers 

 

Walnut: Hussain

Hussain works  very hard to use his sounds to help him write sentences. Well done Hussain!

 

Apricot:Ava

Ava has been concentrating on her handwriting this week. She has been working hard in Phonics using her Phonic knowledge for tricky spellings  and writing sentences. 

Beech:

Scarlet, for your excellent question writing. You were able to talk about what you are looking forward to in Year 2. You used question marks correctly. Well done Scarlet!

These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life.

These pupils have planned carefully, revised ideas, identified key features and can talk about their learning.

These children have demonstrated perseverance, managed distractions, noticed patterns and been absorbed in their tasks. 

Aadya has earned this award for her unwavering commitment to improving her work. Aadya produces outstanding writing because she perseveres and devotes all her attention to her work. Super effort!

 


 

Resourcefulness   

These pupils have been curious about learning, made links between ideas, shown imagination, reasoned methodically and capitalised on resources.

Walnut Class have made their teacher happy because they were absolutely fantastic during Sports Day and on all of our  trips. Well done!
