Literacy
This week we have been writing descriptive sentences about Pattan’s Pumpkin using adjectives and conjunctions.
Next week, we will continue to use descriptive words to describe the setting in the story.
Maths
This week we have been identifying and sorting 2D and 3D shapes and completing reasoning tasks.
Next week we are going to be learning about Place Value. The children will be learning about ‘teen’ numbers by using Tens and Ones and learning to compare amounts, using vocabulary Greater than, Less than and Equal too.

Children in Need
The children loved dressing up in their Pudsey inspired clothing to help raise money for Children in Need. Firstly, the children had to design a new Pudsey the Bear which was then displayed on our class doors. Afterwards, the children designed a Pudsey the Bear totes bag. Thank you all for your kind donations and support.
Forest School
What a beautiful morning to be outside and embracing forest school. We mainly focused on sticks today and looked at them closely to say what was special about the stick we had chosen. Then we muddled them up to see if we could find our stick by its identifying features, everyone did. We tried again but this time with our eyes shut meaning we had to think about the texture and size of the stick but only through touch, this was a bit more of a challenge. Beech class spent the rest of the time making sticks into all sorts of creations,
